The Back Eddy - Best Seafood Sandwiches and Bar in Westport, MA

the bolognese is so good!!! so is the shrimp cocktail it was the biggest shrimp ever! the service was amazing and it has a beautiful view and it is very comfortable inside!!

I was introduced to The Back Eddy 20 years ago and I have never been disappointed. Located on the water with nice views from the dining room. The food was the star. Was able to sample about 1/2 the offerings, all were fabulous. Service was outstanding too.

Good spot to chill by the water after a long day at the beach. They have a number of different seating options outside. Food prices are in the $20-$40 range. We got the classic fish and chips and the grilled swordfish. The fish and chips were quite good. The fish was lightly battered and fried just right. Service was very good. Overall it was a good experience though a bit pricey. Parking is somewhat limited.

This was our first time there and went with friends that wanted to try it. The atmosphere was great. Drinks were good. The staff Amazing. Our poor server was having one of those days and forgot to put in my meal, but went above and beyond to compensate. She kept the drinks flowing, didn't charge me for the meal and she paid for my dessert (pineapple rice pudding that was yummy!!!). They far exceeded my expectations for a simple mistake. She even brought the dessert with candles and sang as we were celebrating all of our birthdays! Once I got the meal, it was delicious and worth the wait. Oh and you won't get a better view than at The Back Eddy!! I will definitely go back.

Great food, service, and atmosphere! You really can't go wrong! The view outside is amazing and the food was great! Was never a really big deviled eggs fan but these with tuna on top were out of this world! The mussel appetizer was really good as well! Highly recommend coming here and getting the tuna entree you won't be disappointed!!

Always a winner, the Eddy does it once more! Creative. Fresh. Delicious. Just as we had hoped. New Bedford scallops are dusted, not heavily breaded, so one actually tastes the shellfish... and cooked to perfection. Oh, and the hand-cut fries? Best you can get, IMO! The Cod is surprising and flavorful with kale and huge white beans in an amazingly flavorful broth. The Salmon was outstanding! Fresh!!!! Bright flavor with haricot, fingerlings and a beautiful aioli atop. Drinks were inspired and refreshing. Cool place. Great view. Outstanding food.

So much fun, outdoor dining, bar, watch the sunset! Raw bar outside, music. walk at Horseneck beach, land here after. You're all set.

Ordered Native Heirloom Tomato Caprese. The balsamic reduction sauce with the pesto was very tasty.- it was on the special menu and well worth it. Grill Tuna Kimchi was spicy and was a good accompaniment along with the grilled Bok Choy. My tuna was cooked perfectly and was very fresh. This is a busy place and a little noisy. I assume u need reservations on most days (Monday was 90% full.

The food was excellent. Service was fast, efficient, pleasant, and engaging. Love the ambience... water view is fantastic!
